Program Description:
New Hampshire Healthy Kids provides access to low-cost and free health coverage options for New Hampshire's uninsured children and teens.
General Program Requirements:
Your child or teen may be able to enroll in a Healthy Kids plan if he/she is:
- Under the age of 19
- A New Hampshire resident
- A U.S. citizen
- A refugee, in the U.S. for at least five years
Family Income:
The Healthy Kids programs were designed for working families. Your family income and size will determine if your child qualifies for coverage and if you are required to make monthly premium payments. To see the current income guidelines chart, visit:

Current or Recent Insurance:
Even if your child is currently insured, he or she may still be able to enroll in Healthy Kids Gold and receive services not covered by your private insurance. Healthy Kids Gold may also pay for certain medical services your child received up to 90 days before you signed up.
To qualify for Healthy Kids Silver, your child must have been uninsured for the past six months. This requirement may not apply in special situations such as job loss.
