AAUW

The American Association of University Women provides funding for female students. The process is very competitive and academic excellence is one of their most important considerations. They provide career development and community action funding.

Career development

The AAUW provides funding for graduate students. They are designed for females with a bachelor degree and wish to further their education. The money is also for changing careers or for someone to re-enter the work environment. As of 2010, the amount may be up to $12,000.

Community action

Community action funding is available to individual females from the AAUW. However, it is also available to non-profit organizations that promote a better lifestyle for females. You must be a citizen of the United States. As of 2010 there is up to $7,000 available for a one year and up to $10,000 for a two year grant.
