Program Description:
The National Institutes of Health (NIH) IRTA Traineeships are established for the principal benefit of the participants and to provide opportunities for developmental training and practical research experience in a variety of disciplines related to biomedical research, medical library research and related fields.
General Program Requirements:
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a US citizen or permanent resident. You must also be either a military professional, or a current or prospective student in the field of health care who is over the age of 15 and who is or has a family member enrolled in a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaskan Native village.
