Program Description:
The Health Professions Recruitment Programs for Indians provides grants to tribes, tribal organizations, and public or nonprofit private health or educational entities to assist in identifying American Indian/Alaskan Natives with potential for education or training in the health profession and encouraging and assisting them to enroll in a health profession or take postsecondary education or training in order to qualify for enrollment.
General Program Requirements:
In order to qualify for this benefit program, you must be a Native American/American Indian, a current or prospective student in the field of health care, and you or a family member must be enrolled in a federally recognized American Indian tribe or Alaskan Native village.
