Program Description:

A free and appropriate public special education is available in all states for all eligible children and youth identified with disabilities under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). Services are provided, at no cost to parents, primarily through their state's public school system.

 

General Program Requirements:

In order to qualify for this benefit program, the child must be aged 3-21 and have a disability identified under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), which can be found at http://idea.ed.gov/

If you are the parent or caregiver of a disabled child, contact your local school district to find out what services are available.
